The kit list.

Last updated · 26 July 2026

Everything from From Handwriting to Thread in one place. Most of it is exactly what I use at my studio table, and where something isn't sold in your region, the closest match my research could find. The list lives here so it can stay current, and your copy of the book never goes stale.

The links below earn me a small commission if you buy through them, at no extra cost to you. If you use them, thank you for supporting an independent artist.

As an Amazon Associate, I earn from qualifying purchases.

Each item links to Amazon UK and Amazon US. Amazon Germany is on its way, and until then many UK and US listings deliver across Europe. The stores don't always carry the same brands, so each link names the exact product it goes to.

01Both paths

Whichever door you came through, machine or hand, these are in every piece I make.

02The machine path

The materials layer. Buy few things, test on scraps, and once something works, stop changing it.

03The hand path

If you're new to all of this, start here. The whole hand kit together costs about as much as two coffees and a cinema ticket.

04Around the studio

Not stitching tools, but they earn their place at the table: printing templates and stick-and-stitch sheets, pressing finished pieces, and getting parcels out the door.

If a stitched note comes out of these pages, I'd honestly love to see it: @littlelovenotes.studio (opens in a new tab).

And if you ever decide a particular note is too precious to practise on, you know where to find me.

Made by Lu with love.
